There are three new drama pilots that the USA network will be considering for series. USA is known for Burn Notice, White Collar, Psych, and the upcoming RDA guest-starrer Fairly Legal (fka Facing Kate).

Do you think that any of our Stargate stars would fit into any of the following?

1) Eden follows a young hotel worker who becomes the concierge at an elite New York hotel with the help of his con artist cousin. The two work to provide the guests with whatever they want, no matter what.

2) Over/Under centers on a day trader with a gambling problem who turns his luck around in a surprising way after he's fired.

3) Wild Card focuses on two Las Vegas lawyers who handle cases for their clients in different ways.

I think Joe Flanigan could do a pretty good slimeball. That'd qualify him for roles in any of them, although the day trader and lawyer seem more his speed.

I had to look up the definition of "Over/Under" to try to figure out what #2 was about.

Here's the definition from About.com:

Definition: In the sports gambling world, "over/under" is a bet that is won or lost depending upon the combined score of both teams in a contest. The bettor is not interested in who wins the game, only the final score.

I'm still not sure what the show is about, but I'm getting a reluctant hero kind of vibe from it. What do you think?

Heh... yeah, sometimes it's a much safer bet than actually betting on a team (I've participated in that activity on occasion). There might be some hero quality to it -- maybe he hits something big, helps some homeless guy, and starts hitting every bet he makes.

I'll give the shows a look to see what they're all about -- I like the way USA does things. Burn Notice is a great show.

Frankly, none of the three shows sounds at all interesting.

and #3 sounds a helluva lot like that new show on CBS that comes on after Criminal Minds (I forgot the name)

Are you talking about The Defenders with James Belushi and Jerry O'Connell? I'm watching it on Comcast's On Demand. It's kind of fun.

I thought #3 sounded a lot like it, but the USA pilot is supposed to be a drama, so maybe there will be a difference in execution.

Yep that's the one. I was distracted by CSI and I couldn't properly remember.

Hmm, none of the roles seem that action-oriented. I think both Shanks and Flanigan could play con men or lawyers. Or maybe Flanigan and Hewlett together as Oscar/Felix type lawyers. That I'd watch!

Eden sounds an awful lot like the BBC's Hotel Babylon, which I only watched a couple episodes of for the guest stars. (How could I not watch John Barrowman playing a flamboyant movie producer?) Rachel would probably be a good fit for this. She does glamorous well.

Rainbow might be good for either of the other two. He's got a resilient energy that would seem to be a nice fit for Over/Under in particular.

I say team up Lexa and Chris for Wild Card. Now those would be some bad-ass lawyers. Or maybe Ben. I miss seeing his wacky antics.

I think Kavan would be good in any of them, really. Man looks good in a suit. :)

(I find it a bit disappointing, though, that all three shows are centered around men. Where's the love for the ladies, USA?)

Agree with you that Michael or Joe could do 'Wild card'
'Eden' sounds more like it would need a twentysomething old person to fill the job.. but his cousin.. yeh, either Michael or Joe. again.
Just wanna see them on the telly more in a permanent role!

New Pilots
I would cast Joe Flanigan and Jason Momoa. Since SyFy is not giving him a part. I would be drawn and the rest of Joe Flanigan fans would be drawn to watch.
